Role Overview:
The Assistant will support the APAC M&A / Strategy team in driving strategic initiatives related to inorganic growth.
Key responsibilities include conducting market research, performing financial analyses, and providing transaction support.
This role offers valuable exposure to real-world M&A processes and strategic decision-making within a dynamic multinational environment.
Core Responsibilities:
- Perform research on potential acquisition targets, market trends, and competitive dynamics across APAC, with a focus on the food and beverage, pharmaceutical, beauty, and home care sectors.
- Assist in screening inbound opportunities, preparing strategic fit assessments, and maintaining the M&A pipeline.
- Contribute to the development and review of financial models, including DCF and comparable company analysis, under supervision.
- Coordinate data room management, track document uploads, and liaise with internal and external stakeholders during diligence phases.
- Support the creation of internal strategy decks and transaction summaries for senior leadership and global stakeholders.
- Assist in tracking timelines, regulatory documentation, and coordination across legal, finance, and commercial teams.
- Schedule meetings, prepare agendas, and document minutes for M&A workstreams to ensure smooth project execution.
Requirements:
- Min Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or related field.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Interest in corporate strategy, M&A, and the food & beverage industry.
- Familiarity with financial modeling and valuation concepts.
- Prior internship experience in consulting, investment banking, or corporate strategy is advantageous.
- 3-6 months contract duration
- 5 days office hours with occational night calls with other region (EMEA, USA)
