Accounts Executive (Commodity Finance, CBD)
Our client is a well-established organisation within the Commodities industry.
They are actively hiring for a seasoned Accounting professional to join their Accounts team in Singapore.
Responsibilities
Prepare and maintain complete sets of financial and management accounts.
Oversee timely and accurate month-end closing, consolidation, and reporting.
Manage all accounting transactions, including trade and non-trade payments, receipts, and staff expense claims.
Prepare, file, and submit quarterly GST and WHT returns.
Monitor and manage cash flow effectively.
Ensure compliance with statutory regulations, accounting standards, audit requirements, and internal controls.
Coordinate with external auditors, tax consultants, and transfer pricing agents.
Possess working knowledge of the oil, petrochemical, and oil derivatives sector, including Incoterms, MTM, letters of credit, and discounting processes.
Provide insights and recommendations to enhance accounting processes and implement improvements.
Support forecasting and budgeting activities as required.
Prepare and submit reports for the Statistics Singapore Survey.
Maintain proper archiving of records and documents for easy retrieval and reference.
Job Requirements
Degree in Accountancy or a relevant discipline.
Has minimally 3 years of track record in accounting and finance management.
Prior experience in commodity finance, letters of credit, discounting, and trading company operations.
Proficiency in accounting systems such as ACCPAC and Xero is an advantage.
Strong leadership, communication, and people management skills.
