- Prepare and process Accounts Receivable (AR) and Accounts Payable (AP) transactions, including invoices, payment vouchers, and receipts.
- Follow up on outstanding payments and maintain proper records.
- Reconcile supplier statements and resolve discrepancies.
- Assist in managing daily cash flow and bank transactions.
- Prepare bank reconciliations and monitor project-related fund transfers.
- Maintain the general ledger, ensuring all entries are accurate and up-to-date.
- Assist in month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing procedures.
- Prepare journal entries and assist with accruals, prepayments, and adjustments.
- Assist the Assistant Finance Manager in preparing financial reports, budgets, and forecasts.
- Provide financial analysis to support management decisions.
- Ensure adherence to company policies and statutory regulations.
- Prepare and submit accurate GST returns in accordance with IRAS regulations.
- Ensure proper documentation and reporting of GST on invoices, purchases, and project-related expenses.
- Liaise with auditors and tax consultants regarding GST matters.
- Assist in preparation for audits and submission of regulatory reports (e.g., GST, CPF, IRAS).
- Support finance-related matters for ongoing construction projects.
- Liaise with project managers, site engineers, and contractors for financial documentation and reporting.
- Perform ad hoc finance and accounting tasks as assigned by the Assistant Finance Manager or Finance Manager.
Requirements:
- Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- At least 4 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in the construction industry.
- Knowledge of accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, SAP) and MS Excel.
- Good understanding of GST regulations and financial reporting standards in Singapore.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Positive working attitude and strong sense of responsibility.
- Experience assisting senior finance staff in reporting, audits, or budgeting.
- Familiarity with construction project accounting and cost tracking is an advantage.
