ACMV Costing Engineer

Job description

Review tender documents, drawings, and specifications to identify project requirements.

Prepare
accurate cost estimates
for ACMV systems, including material, equipment, and labour costs.

Source and evaluate supplier and subcontractor quotations to ensure cost competitiveness.

Prepare
bill of quantities (BOQ) , costing summaries, and tender price breakdowns.

Conduct value engineering and cost analysis to optimize project budgets.

Ensure cost estimations comply with company standards and client requirements.

Key Responsibilities
Tender & Cost Estimation
Review tender documents, drawings, and specifications to identify project requirements.

Prepare
accurate cost estimates
for ACMV systems, including material, equipment, and labour costs.

Source and evaluate supplier and subcontractor quotations to ensure cost competitiveness.

Prepare
bill of quantities (BOQ) , costing summaries, and tender price breakdowns.

Conduct value engineering and cost analysis to optimize project budgets.

Ensure cost estimations comply with company standards and client requirements.

Coordination & Documentation
Liaise with procurement, engineering, and project teams to gather relevant information for pricing.

Ensure all technical and commercial clarifications are addressed during tender preparation.

Maintain up-to-date records of costing data, quotations, and tender submissions.

Prepare tender comparison sheets and support management in pricing decisions.

Technical & Commercial Support
Provide technical input on ACMV design options from a costing perspective.

Assist in preparing tender clarifications, proposals, and cost summaries for client submission.

Support project handover meetings to ensure smooth transition from tender to execution phase.

Track cost performance of awarded projects and identify areas for cost improvement.

Qualifications & Requirements
Diploma or Degree
in Mechanical Engineering, Building Services, or equivalent field.

Minimum
2–3 years of experience
in ACMV tendering, estimation, or project costing.

Strong understanding of
ACMV components
such as ducting, piping, ventilation, and insulation works.

Proficient in
Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
(experience in costing templates preferred).

Strong numerical accuracy and analytical skills with attention to detail.

Excellent communication and coordination skills across departments and with vendors.

Independent, responsible, and able to meet tight deadlines with minimal supervision.

Positive working attitude and willingness to learn and adapt to project requirements.
