We are looking for an experienced ACMV Engineer to join our team.
This role requires a hands-on professional with strong field experience and a solid understanding of electrical control panels for ACMV systems.
The ideal candidate should possess comprehensive knowledge of DX (Direct Expansion) and VRV/VRF systems, as well as chilled water systems.
Familiarity with fire essential fan controls and related electrical panels is a strong plus.
The engineer should also be capable of preparing RA (Risk Assessments), MOS (Method of Statements), and SWP (Safe Work Procedures) relevant to the scope of works.
This position will report directly to the Reporting Officer (RO) / Accounts Manager for administrative and reporting purposes.
Key Responsibilities
- Project Execution & Supervision
- Oversee the installation, testing, commissioning, and maintenance of ACMV systems across various sites.
- Coordinate with contractors, vendors, and consultants to ensure project milestones are met.
- Conduct site inspections and quality checks on installation works.
- Technical Expertise in Systems
- Design, review, and troubleshoot electrical panels associated with ACMV equipment (AHUs, FCUs, pumps, EC fans, VSDs).
- Handle the configuration and maintenance of DX systems and VRV/VRF systems, including refrigerant piping, controls, and indoor/outdoor units.
- Manage chilled water systems – including pumps, valves, and secondary distribution – for energy efficiency and operational reliability.
- Assist in the design, commissioning, and maintenance of fire essential fan control systems and their electrical panels.
- Operations & Maintenance
- Lead and perform diagnostic checks, fault-finding, and rectification of ACMV equipment.
- Ensure preventive maintenance schedules are adhered to and documented.
- Evaluate system performance and recommend improvements or retrofits for energy savings.
- Compliance & Documentation
- Ensure works comply with relevant codes, standards (SS, BCA, Green Mark, etc.), and safety regulations.
- Prepare and review technical drawings, shop drawings, and as-built documentation.
Generate reports for management and clients, including equipment performance, energy usage, and maintenance records.
Key Requirements
- Education: Diploma/Degree/Higher Nitec in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, Building Services, or equivalent.
Experience: Minimum 3–5 years of relevant field experience in ACMV installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
Technical Skills:
- Strong knowledge of electrical panel wiring, schematics, and control logic for ACMV systems.
- Proven experience in DX (Direct Expansion) and VRV/VRF systems operation and maintenance.
- Familiarity with chilled water systems, including pumps, valves, balancing, and energy optimization.
- Familiarity with fire essential fan controls and associated electrical panels is a strong plus.
Working knowledge of BMS integration, VSDs, and EC fans preferred.
Soft Skills: Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
Ability to coordinate with multiple stakeholders on site.
Certifications (Preferred):
WSQ safety certifications (Working at Height, LOTO, etc.).
