The ideal candidate will be part of an active research team led by Prof Min Lee from School of Computing and Information Systems.
They will conduct research on AI for Head and Neck Cancer Screening.
Candidate's core responsibilities include:
- Develop and experiment an AI model to process and explain video data
- Multimodal representation learning videos/images + texts etc
- Self-supervised learning
- Large language models
- Domain adaptation
- Work with a clinical partner
- Other duties assigned
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement AI algorithms to analyze video data
- Conduct experiments and evaluate the performance of AI models
- Collaborate with the clinical partner to develop a clinically relevant AI solution
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Minimum Requirements:
- Master's in Computer Science or closely related disciplines from an institution of higher learning
- At least 2 years of relevant research experience in AI and machine learning
- Proficiency in programming software/languages such as Python, TensorFlow, PyTorch
- Demonstrated experience and know-how on creating AI/ML models
- Good analytical, technical, and problem-solving skills
Desirable:
- Research publications in AI & Health areas
- Self-motivated individual who can work independently and also collaboratively with team members
