Job Summary & Responsibilities
This position is based in Singapore.
Some travel should be expected.
You will work closely with process engineers in Semiconductor Fabs to provide Metrology solutions for complex multi-layer Thin Film measurements, Optical Critical Dimension measurements and Overlay measurements for sub-100nm features.
Duties will include applications development and characterization of cutting edge measurement technologies, making technology/product presentations and technical training for customers.
You will also be responsible for high level Applications support of complex measurement systems used to manufacture Semiconductor devices / integrated circuits.
Lead and undertake complete ownership of product system activities.
Ability to lead and drive projects to completion.
Initiates the design, development, execution and implementation of technology research projects.
Investigates the feasibility of applying scientific principles and concepts to potential inventions and products.
Plans and executes applied research.
Maintains substantial knowledge of state-of-the-art principles and theories, and may contribute to scientific literature and conferences.
May participate in development of patent applications.
May coordinate interdepartmental activities and research efforts.
Responsible for all new key technical engagements/collaboration with stakeholders to qualify new products and recipes setup.
(ex.
Should be able to work with internal stakeholders to ensure the new product quality before releasing to customer.
In an HVM setting, the Engineer should be able to perform troubleshooting and resolve issues independently and effectively to help customer maintain a healthy production line)
Able to drive weekly meetings with customers and internal stakeholders concerning recipe development and deployment statuses
Work with customers to initiate new applications and provide insights on DOE creation to speed up recipe generation and improve time to solution and provide technical recommendations to the customer.
Demonstrate knowledge of the device/process technology s/he is working on and identify the current and future metrology needs of this given device type.
Understand the major process modules and corresponding metrology needs in state-of-the-art semiconductor manufacturing.
Effectively communicate and drive continued use case, adoption and deployment of Atlas/OCD solutions, work on driving requirements back to the HQ and product teams to expand footprint and adoption of platforms at customer sites
Work with Algorithm and S/W teams and improve products performance.
(ex.
The Engineer should be able to follow the software development process to ensure that the new features are focused on solving technical challenges in the field.)
Troubleshoot system issues based on statistical data analysis
Communicate and collaborate with crossed function teams for development and troubleshooting.
Accountable for all assigned modelling projects.
Able to write/audit procedures and BKMs.
Able to make effective technical presentations internally as well as to customers.
Qualifications
PhD in Physics/Electrical & Electronics/Chemical/Materials Engineering
Applied knowledge of inferential statistics to derive actionable insights.
Should have knowledge of design of experiments and can apply this knowledge for process optimization.
Proficiency in programming languages used for data analytics (e.g., MATLAB/Python/R).
Experience with machine learning.
Experience with semiconductor fabrication and process integration.
Ability to travel internationally up to 30%.
Well organized and exhibit fast learning skills, strong project management skills, analytical problem-solving skills and excellent communication/presentation skills.
Ability to work independently under minimal supervision.
Ability to deliver effective technical presentations to internal and external audiences.
