*Job Scope: Assistant Centre Manager (After-School Care)
1.
Centre Operations & Administration *
- Assist the Centre Manager in overseeing the day-to-day operations of the after-school care centre.
- Ensure smooth implementation of schedules, programmes, and routines.
- Manage enrolment, attendance, and records in compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Oversee logistics, procurement, and maintenance of resources, materials, and facilities.

Staff Supervision & Development *
- Support recruitment, training, and performance management of centre staff.
- Supervise teachers and support staff to ensure quality delivery of programmes and child supervision.
- Mentor and guide staff to uphold professional standards and centre policies.
- Schedule duty rosters and manage manpower allocation.
*3.
Child Development & Care *
- Ensure the well-being, safety, and holistic development of all children under care.
- Monitor children's progress, behaviour, and needs; work with teachers to provide necessary support.
- Build positive relationships with children and maintain a nurturing, safe environment.
- Handle incidents and behavioural issues professionally and promptly.

Stakeholder & Parent Engagement *
- Serve as a point of contact for parents and guardians on centre matters.
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding children's progress, incidents, and centre updates.
- Support collaboration with schools, community partners, and agencies.
*5.
Compliance & Quality Standards *
- Ensure compliance with MindChamp regulations and licensing requirements.
- Assist in audits, inspections, and maintaining health, safety, and hygiene standards.
- Implement safeguarding policies and risk management practices.
*6.
Programme Planning & Implementation *
- Support the design and execution of after-school programmes (academic support, enrichment, character development).
- Monitor and evaluate programme effectiveness.
- Recommend improvements to enhance engagement and learning outcomes.
*7.
Leadership & Deputising *
- Act as the Centre Manager's deputy in his/her absence.
- Represent the centre in meetings and external engagements when required.
- Support strategic initiatives for centre growth and improvement.
Working hours
- Centres typically operate from 10 am to 7 pm Monday to Friday
- Saturdays, 8:30 am to 12:30 pm, for weekend enrichment programmes.
- During school holidays, the Centre operates full day, 7 am to 7 pm.
( Rotating time slot with other staff)
