Lead and Manage the QS/Contract team.
Directly accountable for the daily performance output fo the QS/Contract Department.
A.Tendering/Business Development Work
- Lead team of QS with Business Development(BD) team for project tenders, quantity take-off, contract compliance, pricings etc.
from initial estimates, right through to the final acquisition of materials.
- Manage preparation of tender submission and pre-tender pricing verification, including details regarding quantities of required materials.
- Feasibility of client requests.
- Negotiate contraact terms, pricing and payment schedule,ensuring that the agreements with customers, suppliers, sub-contactors are commercially viable.
- Draft and vet contract documents and provide costing advice to Management, BD & project team.
- Review tender documents, letter of award and sub-contractor document
B.Project Implementation Work
- Working with purchasing and project team, monitor and oversee project expenditures.
To immediately highlight to management if the expenditures were to exceed budgets - Lead preparation and process of progress claims and final accounts to main-con and for sub-con.
- Analyze completed work and arrange payment to sub-contractors
- Provide guidance on contract matters to project team and ensure compliance to all contracts.
C.
Contract Documentation Management
- Carry out proper & systematic filing of all QS/Contract paperwork to ensure traceability of costings , contract discussions etc.
- Maintain and control all contractural records and documentation (eg correspondences, contractural changes, status reports and other documents) for all projects.
Leadership/Management Accountability
- Set comprehensive goals for department performance and growth
- Lead department to encourage maximum performance and dedication to achieve the goals set
- Network with key clients to promote positive elationship for future projects.
Requirement :
- Minimum 10 years of experience in QS & Contract work in the Construction Industry.
- Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Civil Engineering or Equivalent.
