Assistant Contracts Manager
- Salary: Up to $8,000 Basic + Variable Bonus

We are looking for a meticulous and driven Assistant Contracts Manager with proven experience in HDB BTO projects to join our Contracts / Commercial Department.
In this key role, you will support contract administration, cost management, and ensure project compliance across high-value public residential developments.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the pre- and post-contract administration of HDB BTO projects, ensuring accuracy and compliance with public sector regulations.
- Prepare, review, and negotiate main contracts, subcontracts, and consultancy agreements.
- Liaise with HDB, consultants, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure alignment with contractual and regulatory obligations.
- Evaluate and process variations, EOT claims, loss and expense submissions, and related contractual matters.
- Develop and monitor project cost plans, budgets, and cash flow forecasts to support effective financial control.
- Oversee tendering activities, including cost estimation, BOQ preparation, and subcontractor sourcing.
- Manage timely and accurate progress claims, certification of subcontractor claims, and other commercial deliverables.
- Identify and manage contractual risks while ensuring full compliance with HDB GCC, PSSCOC, SIA, and FIDIC conditions (where applicable).
- Provide support in dispute resolution and negotiations as required.
Requirements
- Degree or Diploma in Quantity Surveying, Building, Construction Management, or related field.
- 7 years of relevant experience, with strong exposure to HDB BTO projects.
- Solid knowledge of HDB GCC, public sector procurement processes, and local construction contract law.
- Experience in subcontractor account management, claims preparation, and cost control in a main contractor environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (particularly Excel and Word); experience with CostX, Cubicost, or similar software is a plus.
- Familiar with standard contract forms such as PSSCOC, SIA, or FIDIC.
Working Conditions
- Office-based role with occasional site visits and external meetings with consultants or clients.
- May be required to work extended hours during peak project periods or submission deadlines.
