Assistant Director, Business Development (Sales & Marketing)
Roles and Responsibilities
Business Development & Sales Strategy:
• Develop overarching strategies to identify and forge strategic alliances, partnerships and other business opportunities to drive company’s growth.
• Conceptualise, communicate and execute a successful growth strategy in partnership with business units to improve the market position of the Institute products and professional services.
• Maintains current industry knowledge in developing Continuing Education and Training (CET) courses and programmes to strengthen working adult’s skills and competencies.
Client Engagement & Relationship Building:
• Initiate contact with prospects through various channels, including cold calling, emails, and networking events to nurture leads and drive conversions.
• Understand client learning needs and recommend suitable products and professional services to meet their capability gaps and requirements.
• Cultivate strong relationships with clients, ensuring the highest levels of customer satisfaction and negotiating strategic contracts throughout the business development and sales process.
Business Development & Sales Leadership:
• Responsible for generating new commercial opportunities, sets business development and sales targets and provides leadership to ensure smooth functioning of the team.
• Maintain accurate records of business development, sales pipeline and performance, including prospecting efforts, client interactions, and deal progressions, using CRM software.
• Communicates business performance and progress regularly to senior leadership through periodic status reports and presentations.
Marketing Strategies & Website Management:
• Overseeing the development and implementation of effective marketing strategies to raise the profile and standing of the Institute beyond the shore of Singapore.
• Establish, maintain, and update institute website to ensure accurate, timely information delivery to optimize user experience and content relevance.
• Develop and produce all marketing related materials/activities to a wide segment of audience and meet the regulatory requirements locally and regionally.
Cross-functional and Team Leadership:
• Lead and collaborate across functional teams to ensure seamless customer experience from conceptualization of business proposal, product development and enrollment guidelines.
• Ensure business decisions align with the company's direction and its strategic imperatives.
Always represent the company professionally and ethically as a role model for the team.
• Requires strict enforcement on ethic business and not accepting any form of fraud, corruption and bribery of any kind.
Report immediately to management any suspicion based on real evidence or solid insights.
Requirements
• A good team player and results oriented.
• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, marketing, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in business development, sales, or account management, preferably within the education industry.
• Proven track record of meeting or exceeding business development and sales targets and KPIs.
• Strong change management skills and experience leading organisational transitions to ensure successful adoption of new processes
• Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills with both internal and external stakeholders
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport and trust with clients.
• Self-motivated and results-oriented, with a drive to succeed in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to prioritise tasks, manage time effectively, and work independently with minimal supervision.
• Highly motivated and able to lead teams to achieve organizational and business goals
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and CRM software.
