Assistant Director (Corporate & Capability Development)
1.
Corporate & Strategic Planning
• Track marco-economic market trends, competitor activities and customer needs to develop and implement strategic plans which are aligned with business objectives.
• Collaborate with senior leadership to define the strategic priorities for the region and locally, with executive level report and presentations as required.
• Develop and implement strategic plans that are aligned with the vision, mission, and core values of the institution.
2.
Capability Development & Knowledge Management
• Lead the identification, evaluation, and prioritisation of capability development projects with alignment to overall business strategy and resource optimisation.
• Define and implement best practices change management methodologies with functional leaders to ensure successful project delivery.
• Drive organisation-wide knowledge management policies, strategy and implement best practices to ensure accumulating, storing and sharing of knowledge.
3.
Stakeholder Collaboration & Management
• Engage with internal and external stakeholders across different business units to align organisational goals and ensure consistency in messaging.
• Develop and maintain a network of relationships and partnerships with relevant government agencies, trade associations and other community stakeholders.
• Assist with ad-hoc tasks related to employer branding, performance appraisal, recruitment, and interview initiatives as needed.

Corporate Governance
• Ensure compliance with corporate governance standards set by government relevant regulatory agencies or professional institutions, and internal governance processes.
• Maintain and ensure up-to-date status and performance reports to stakeholders for all corporate governance and audit requirements.
• Monitor budget expenditures, identify variances, and implement proper financial controls and processes to ensure compliance and accountability.
5.
Staff Capability & Learning Development
• Drive organisation-wide capability and learning needs analysis to support staff development and build future skills and capabilities.
• Lead the design, development, and review of competency-based developmental roadmaps for staff to meet organisational needs and challenges ahead.
• Plan staff retreats, team building and team bonding events to develop the required capabilities and cohesion needed.
Requirements
• A good team player and results oriented.
• Bachelor’s degree in Learning & Human Development, Professional qualifications in Change Management etc.
• At least 10 years of experience in leading change management with best practices and knowledge in Organisational Learning.
• Good understanding in learning & development from learning gaps analysis, curriculum and learning solution design etc.
• Possess a track record for translating ideas to real and meaningful capability-building and organisational outcomes.
• Strong facilitation abilities both in written and verbal for leading, training, coaching, and influencing across diverse business functions.
• Strong interpersonal skills and excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills with both internal and external stakeholders to build rapport and trust.
• Highly motivated and able to lead teams to achieve organisational and business goals, and to cover any other tasks assigned by the supervisor.
