What the role is
The Rehabilitation & Social Mobility (RSM) Policy Directorate develops strategies, policies and programmes which deliver stability, self-reliance and social mobility for lower-income families; protect individuals and families from abuse and neglect or problem gambling; and rehabilitate individuals from social dysfunction.
The Social Mobility and Service Integration Division (SMI) oversees policies that provide social support and improve service delivery to lower-income groups.
Our division focuses on individuals or families facing financial difficulty, with multiple needs, with the aim of supporting them towards achieving stability, self-reliance, and social mobility over time.
What you will be working on
You will lead a dynamic team that seeks to improve the lives of lower-income households by developing and communicating strategies to better meet their needs, and better position them to achieve stability, self-reliance, and ultimately achieve social mobility.
You will be involved in the following areas of work:
• Identify strategic priorities for supporting lower-income families
• Develop strategies to uplift lower-income families, in consultation with other agencies and stakeholders
• Analyse the needs of lower-income households, including identifying pain points and gaps that they may face
• Conduct research on global best practices in supporting lower-income families, and in anticipation of future trends and next bound measures
• Develop strategic communications plan for strategies and policies
• Set, monitor, and evaluate outcomes

• Strong sense of initiative and purpose
• Strong interpersonal, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills

• Able to work on different projects concurrently and independently
• Familiarity with or experience with data analysis to advance thinking of relevant social policies will be an added advantage.
