Overview
This role supports the Operations Lead in driving the strategic vision of a smart, digitally enabled hospital.
The incumbent will coordinate and implement healthcare technology and innovation initiatives across operational, clinical, and facilities domains to enhance patient care, improve efficiency, and support sustainable manpower strategies.
Key Responsibilities
Technology Strategy & Innovation
- Support the execution of digital transformation initiatives aligned with the intelligent hospital vision.
- Coordinate integration of clinical systems, operational technologies, and building management systems.
- Evaluate and support implementation of emerging technologies such as AI, robotics, telehealth, digital twins, automation, and wearables.
- Conduct horizon scanning and industry research to identify relevant technological advancements.
- Build partnerships with vendors, research institutions, and innovation hubs.
Technology Implementation & Governance
- Coordinate technology projects, including business case development, procurement, and operational rollout.
- Ensure alignment of systems with clinical workflows, operational needs, and infrastructure requirements.
- Implement technology governance and enterprise frameworks to support business continuity and compliance.
Smart Hospital Operations
- Support the development and deployment of integrated digital platforms for facilities, patient flows, and operational processes.
- Assist in the implementation of IoT, real-time analytics, and predictive modelling across hospital operations.
- Work with internal teams to define KPIs and monitor performance using digital twin technologies.
- Coordinate intelligent building systems that respond to operational and patient needs.
Autonomous Systems Integration
- Execute plans for autonomous systems (e.g. AMRs/AGVs) in areas such as logistics, medication delivery, and waste management.
- Support operational planning and integration of automation solutions.
- Monitor performance, compliance, and safety standards related to autonomous technologies.
Cross-Functional & Stakeholder Collaboration
- Collaborate with clinical, operations, and facilities teams to drive successful technology adoption.
- Maintain strong relationships with external vendors, regulators, and technology partners.
- Provide project updates and insights to leadership and facilitate change management processes.
Programme & Performance Management
- Support programme delivery through timeline management, budget tracking, risk assessment, and vendor coordination.
- Monitor key performance indicators and ensure technology initiatives meet operational and regulatory standards.
- Contribute to a culture of innovation and continuous improvement across teams.
Innovation Workgroup & Team Support
- Serve as secretariat for innovation workgroups, including meeting coordination and documentation.
- Assist in planning and governance of innovation initiatives.
- Promote team development and professional growth related to healthcare transformation.
Job Requirements
- Master/Bachelor's degree in Healthcare, Business, Engineering, or related field
- Minimum 7 years of relevant experience, with 4 years of supervisory experience
- Prior experience in technology implementation, operations, and digital transformation within the healthcare industry will be an advantage
- Strong understanding of hospital operations, clinical workflows, and healthcare systems.
- Skilled in programme coordination, stakeholder engagement, and performance monitoring.
- Knowledge of emerging healthcare technologies and innovation trends.
- Excellent communication, analytical, and project management skills.
- Passion for healthcare innovation and improving service delivery through technology.
