Responsibilities
- Lead and support maintenance activities for rolling stock assets (passenger vehicles, engineering trains and depot equipment), ensuring maintenance activities are conducted in accordance with technical standards and operational requirements
- Supervise and support technicians in scheduled maintenance, corrective maintenance and overhauls of rolling stock assets
- Plan and allocate daily maintenance tasks, ensuring adherence to service schedules and operational demands
- Perform technical assessments, fault investigations, and provide guidance to resolve complex issues
- Review and ensure the accuracy and completeness of maintenance documentation, reports and logs
- Monitor maintenance quality, compliance to safety regulations, and adherence to maintenance procedures
- Assist in training and mentoring technicians to develop technical skills and knowledge
- Participate in audits, inspections and internal or external reviews of maintenance practices
- Undertake duties as assigned by superiors.
Requirements
- Possess a recognized diploma in Mechanical or Electrical or Electronic Engineering from a reputable Polytechnic.
- Good analytical and fault-finding skills
- Knowledge in electrical/electronic/pneumatic and air conditioning systems
- Possess strong commitment and strong sense of responsibility to area of work under his/her charge
- Have initiative and possess positive working attitude
- Capable of making fast and sound decision when working under pressure
- Demonstrates strong leadership qualities and is capable of working well in a team
- Able to work well independently and achieve challenging targets with minimal supervision
- Able to identify colours
