Job Overview:
Seeking a highly motivated and experienced M&E Senior Facilities Engineer / Assistant Facilities Manager to oversee the mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems at the site.
This role involves managing day-to-day operations, preventive and corrective maintenance, as well as supporting Addition & Alteration (A&A) works to ensure seamless campus facilities operations.
The engineer will work closely with contractors, vendors, and the client to deliver efficient, safe, and sustainable facilities services.
Responsibilities:
Oversee the daily operation and maintenance of mechanical and electrical systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection services.
Manage addition and alteration (A&A) projects from feasibility assessment to execution, ensuring timelines, budgets, and safety standards are met.
Conduct routine inspections, system audits, and fault analysis to maintain reliability and adherence to relevant regulations and standards.
Lead and coordinate both in-house technicians and external contractors in performing preventive and corrective maintenance tasks.
Monitor utility usage and support energy efficiency initiatives to identify and implement cost-saving opportunities.
Prepare technical documentation, incident reports, and compliance records for internal and client reference.
Coordinate with consultants, vendors, and relevant stakeholders for statutory approvals, permits, and site inspections.
Enforce workplace safety protocols in alignment with risk assessments and safety regulations.
Advise clients and management on system enhancements, asset lifecycle strategies, and sustainability initiatives.
Job Requirements:
At least Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, Building Services, or Facilities Engineering.
At least
5 years of relevant experience in M&E facilities management , with exposure to A&A projects.
Strong knowledge of Singapore Codes of Practice, BCA, SCDF, and relevant statutory regulations.
Prior experience working in
institutional / educational projects
will be an added advantage.
