Responsibilities:
- Handle full-spectrum financial and management reporting functions, tax and GST reporting and business analysis, including cash flow forecasting.
- Maintain and update the general ledger, ensuring all transactions are recorded accurately and in a timely manner.
- Performing account reconciliations on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis to ensure financial integrity.
- Supporting the development and rollout of effective accounting policies and internal controls.
- Managing intercompany reconciliations and ensuring smooth coordination with internal teams.
- Overseeing cash flow management to support both operational efficiency and long-term financial stability.
- Monitor and verify daily sales revenue from outlets, ensuring timely and accurate recording.
- Review and validate accounting entries, including AP invoices, monthly journals, payment vouchers, receipts.
- Maintain fixed asset registers, including monthly depreciation, asset tagging, disposals, and annual physical verification.
- Assist with year-end financial audits, both internal and external.
- Participate in cash audits at outlets and in audits of rice processing operations.
- Support the preparation of annual budgets and financial forecasts.
- Contribute to ad hoc financial projects and provide support to the Finance Manager as required.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of relevant experience in a related role
- Diploma or Degree in Accounting or Business Finance preferred
- Strong command of Microsoft Excel and experience with financial software
- Proven knowledge of auditing standards and procedures, laws, rules and regulations
- Solid knowledge of IFRS and/or local FRS standards (especially across Southeast Asia)
- Ability to thrive under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Excellent command of Mandarin to liaise with overseas mandarin speaking colleagues in Taiwan and Hong Kong and to use in-house accounting system in Mandarin
