The Assistant Manager, Compensation’s main responsibility is to deliver Key Rewards Programs by reviewing and developing Compensation & Benefits Strategies, policies and programs particularly across the region.
You will recommend and enhance related plans, programs and initiatives to contribute to the overall success of the business through its people agenda.
You will perform an advisory role to business leaders and HR Team, lead region wide Compensation & Benefits program and projects.
Take care of C&B related issues like compensation design inclusive of variable bonus, commissions, MBO, annual increment (AI) exercise, and benefits review & proposals, to be in line with the company’s objectives.
This role reports to the Senior Manager, Total Rewards.
Key Responsibilities
- Setting high standard principles and providing solutions for C&B programs.
- Proactively raise potential C&B issues with managers, identifying practical solutions to address complex and diverse C&B issues, and recommending appropriate action plans.
- Monitor best practices and identify opportunities for future development and innovation in reward program (incentive plan design, pay levels and mix, job bands, local benefits etc).
- Providing pragmatic and consistent guidance and advice to Management, HODs, managers & employees on C&B related issues.
- Act as the subject matter expert on all matters relating to promotion, pay adjustments, incentives and benefits.
- Review ad hoc requests for changes to compensation against market benchmark data using survey tools by consultants or other online tools.
- Manage and maintain HRIS & payroll systems including ongoing system upgrade and project implementations.
- Administering and keeping information on benefits and compensation packages up-to-date and competitive to market best practice.
- Manage Annual Increment (AI) exercise process across the Region, ensuring roles & responsibilities, deliverables, and timelines & milestones are agreed and achieved.
- Develop tools/frameworks (and data-packs and ppts) to support the Regional / local HR teams in managing the AI review process in their Areas.
- Implement and manage global market benchmarking data and market data analysis, ensuring compensation is externally competitive and aligned with Future compensation philosophy.
- Any ad-hoc projects as assigned.
Qualifications & Experience
- Degree in Human Resources, Psychology or professional certifications in a relevant field of study (compensation / rewards).
- Preferably with at least 5 years of working experience in the similar capacity, with at least 3 years of Comp & Benefits specialist experience in the region.
