Responsibilities
Warehousing and Inventory Management
o Oversee warehouse through planning, developing and/or implementing warehouse safety & security programs/ activities, and planning of warehouse layout to maximize efficiency of storage space
o Oversee inventory operations by conducting weekly supply planning to maintain inventory levels at the right levels and reconciling monthly inventory report
o Source for options for warehouses and develop proposal for senior management's consideration
o Resolve extraordinary issues and, if necessary, escalate to senior management
o Negotiate with and manage contractors to coordinate operations
o Monitor compliance to workplace safety rules & regulations and 5S housekeeping methodology
Distribution and Delivery
o Conduct weekly delivery schedule planning for deliveries to restaurants to maximize efficiency
o Oversee distribution and delivery operations
o Plan and oversee schedule maintenance of delivery feet, equipment and resources to maintain road worthiness
o Evaluate the need for ad-hoc deliveries and to authorize the dispatch of drivers
Quality Assurance & Control
o Monitor compliance to FSSC22000 standards, in particularly the maintenance of integrity of cold chain and segregation of raw & cooked food during delivery
o Work with other departments to determine QA standards and specifications for handling, storage and delivery
o Oversee quality control activities in line with quality assurance standards and procedures
o Monitor compliance to SOPs and safety regulations
People Management
o Determine staffing requirements, and support the interviewing, hiring and training of new employees
o Develop plans and measures to track and review departmental performance and to devise performance enhancement plans
o Plan leave schedule for department and approving leave & claims required by staff
o Conduct periodic staff meetings for open communication within the team
o Manage issues and concerns raised by staff and escalate them to senior management as appropriate
o Provide reports to senior management on overall performance of the department
