Role Overview
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Assistant Manager to join our Logistics & Fulfilment Operations team.
The role involves managing daily warehouse and fulfilment activities, ensuring service excellence for our customers, and supporting the continuous improvement of operational processes.
The successful candidate will be hands-on, adaptable, and capable of balancing operational supervision with customer engagement.
Key Responsibilities
- Operations Management: Oversee and manage day-to-day logistics and fulfilment operations, ensuring smooth workflow and timely service delivery.
- Customer Engagement: Serve as the primary point of contact for all customer enquiries, manage relationships, and attend meetings to discuss operational requirements and improvements.
- Inventory Control: Monitor and manage inventory levels, ensuring accuracy and availability.
- Team Management: Supervise Logistics Assistants, conduct weekly team meetings, provide guidance, and deliver performance feedback.
- Resource Planning: Plan and allocate manpower effectively for daily operations, campaigns, and peak seasons.
- Reporting & Billing: Prepare monthly KPI performance reports, and ensure accurate, timely issuance of invoices to Finance and customers.
- System Supervision: Act as Super User for the Warehouse Management System (WMS), supporting and training the team.
- Operational Support: Assist with packing and other fulfilment tasks when required to meet customer demands.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and service quality.
- Other Duties: Undertake any other responsibilities assigned by management to support the company's objectives.
Requirements
- Diploma/Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business, or related field.
- At least 3–5 years of relevant experience in logistics, fulfilment, or warehouse operations, with supervisory responsibilities.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse processes, inventory management, and fulfilment workflows.
- Proficiency in Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and MS Office applications.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with experience in customer-facing roles.
- Hands-on, resourceful, and able to work under pressure in fast-paced environments.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to coach and motivate a team.
- Flexible and willing to support ground operations when necessary.
