As an Assistant Manager, you will play a key role in, but not limited to, supporting the tax team through the preparation of tax filings, gathering information for tax reviews, and conducting tax research.

You are expected to stay up to date with evolving tax laws and trends, recommending strategies that ensure full compliance with relevant legislation.

Job Description

  • Ensure clients’ compliance with tax regulations and timely fulfillment of corporate and individual tax statutory filing obligations
  • Prepare and review tax computations for individuals, sole proprietorships, partnerships, corporations, and withholding taxes across a client portfolio
  • Deliver accurate and high-quality tax services within established deadlines and compliance standards
  • Engage clients and internal teams to identify opportunities for improving efficiency, processes, and service delivery
  • Build and maintain professional relationships with clients while providing guidance and mentorship to junior staff and interns
  • Undertake ad-hoc assignments and support departmental initiatives to strengthen overall team performance

Requirements

  • Diploma in Accountancy; a Degree in Accountancy or equivalent professional accounting qualification (e.g. ACCA, CPA) is preferred
  • Pursuing or possessing SCTP accreditation will be a plus
  • Basic GST knowledge is advantageous but not mandatory
  • Proactive, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Committed and resilient, able to handle challenges effectively
  • A good team player with strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Able to prioritise tasks and work efficiently under tight deadlines
  • Meticulous, organized, and methodical in work approach
  • Self-motivated and driven to deliver quality results
