(What the role is)
Reporting to the Senior Manager, you will play a key role in shaping the quality and delivery of security-related Diploma programmes at the Security Industry Institute (SII).
This role involves driving continuous improvement in training standards, developing new initiatives to address emerging needs in the security sector, and ensuring that programmes are relevant, impactful, and aligned with industry transformation goals.
(What you will be working on)
Programme Management
- Oversee the administration, delivery, and quality assurance of Security Full Qualification (FQ) programmes to ensure compliance with regulatory and institutional standards.
- Serve as Subject Course Chair or Programme Coordinator for assigned FQ programmes, ensuring effective course management and student outcomes.
- Monitor programme performance, track learner feedback, and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
Curriculum Development
- Design, review, and update course materials and assessments to maintain high-quality learning experiences.
- Collaborate with external partners, industry stakeholders, and government agencies to co-develop curriculum aligned with sector needs and course learning outcomes.
- Identify training gaps and propose new courses or workshops to support the Security Industry Transformation Map (ITM).
Stakeholder Engagement
- Build strong partnerships with industry bodies, government agencies, and other stakeholders to align training initiatives with workforce development needs.
- Represent SII in meetings, workgroups, and collaborative projects to drive sector-wide capability building.
Process Improvement & Special Projects
- Review and streamline policies and processes to enhance operational efficiency.
- Lead or support special projects and initiatives as assigned.
(What we are looking for)
- Tertiary qualification with at least 5 years of relevant experience, preferably in the security industry or training and education sector.
- Knowledge of the Skills Framework for Security and certification processes will be an advantage.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.
- Highly organised, adaptable, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- A team player with a passion for learning innovation and keeping abreast of industry trends.
- Certifications such as ACTA, DACE, or equivalent will be an added advantage.
