Job Responsibilities
As the Ocean Freight Operations Manager,/Assistant you will oversee the Customer Service, and Operations teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and coordinate the day-to-day operations of the ocean freight department.
(Both Import and Export, and you must be familiar with the DG shipments, and must be a hands-on personnel) - Implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and service quality.
- Develop and maintain relationships with shipping lines, port operators, and other key stakeholders.
- Monitor industry trends and regulatory changes affecting ocean freight operations.
- Prepare reports and analyses on department performance for upper management.
- Ensure compliance with all international trade and shipping regulations.
REQUIREMENTS
- Tertiary Education, preferably with freight forwarding (FCL/LCL) experience.
- Minimum 5-7 years work-related experience in Ocean Freight Procurement.
- A team Leading and self-motivated individual
- Ability to engage with various internal and external stakeholders
- Detailed and meticulous
- A confident personality with strong interpersonal, negotiation and communication skills.
