Ang Mo Kio Town Council (AMKTC) is 1 of the biggest Town Council in Singapore and manages/improves the public residential and commercial properties in 7 divisions; namely Teck Ghee, Cheng San, Ang Mo Kio-Hougang, Seletar-Serangoon, Buangkok-Fernvale South, Kebun Baru SMC and Yio Chu Kang SMC.

We have an opening in a Assistant Property Manager in Ang Mo Kio Town Council.

The Assistant Property Manager assists the Property Manager in overseeing all estate management matters of a Division.

This includes routine building maintenance works, cyclical maintenance, improvement projects, conservancy and horticulture, use and control of common property, and arrears management.

The incumbent supports the team in ensuring that the Town Council's objectives, standards, and service quality are met efficiently and effectively.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Team Support & Estate Management:

  • Assist in guiding and supporting a team of Property Officers to ensure smooth day-to-day estate management operations.

  • Work closely with contractors and service providers to ensure works are carried out in accordance with specifications and service standards.

  • Conduct regular inspections of estates and common areas to ensure proper maintenance and timely rectification of defects.

Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Establish and maintain close partnerships with relevant agencies, grassroots organizations, and residents to foster strong community relationships.

  • Support the Property Manager in liaising with MPs, grassroots leaders, and residents to address estate concerns and implement improvement works.

Maintenance & Improvement Works:

  • Assist in planning and implementing cyclical maintenance and estate improvement works.

  • Monitor progress, verify completion, and ensure compliance with contractual and safety requirements.

Operational & Administrative Support:

  • Prepare reports, track maintenance schedules, and assist in managing arrears and estate budgets.

  • Coordinate feedback follow-up, ensure timely response to residents, and maintain accurate documentation.

  • Support one Council Committee as its Deputy or Assistant Secretary to drive improvement works and meet Council objectives (e.g., Estate Management, Audit Risk Management, or Project Development Committee).

Ad-hoc Duties:

  • Any other tasks / projects as assigned by property manager and/or senior management.

What we need from you and the required skills:

  1. A diploma or degree in Real Estate, Building Management, Facilities Management, or a related discipline.

  2. At least 2–4 years of relevant work experience with proven leadership in managing township properties/operations and property team.

  3. Strong understanding of public housing estate management, government regulations, and compliance standards.

  4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage residents, grassroots leaders, and agencies/ministries.

  5. Dynamic, empathetic, team player who works well with people from all walks of life, agencies/ministries and multiple stakeholders.

  6. MS Office skills.

  7. Above all, we value a go-getter, someone who takes great pride and ownership in his/her work, enjoys inspecting the estate and improving it for our residents
