Seatrium is seeking a Security Leader to supervise and coordinate security operations, ensure compliance with security plans and procedures, and manage security personnel and activities across yard operations and events.
Responsibilities
- Enforce company rules and requirements of the Port Facility Security Plan.
- Review company procedures and risk assessments.
Ensure procedures, risk assessments and instructions are followed and updated when necessary.
- Ensure security policies, protocols and procedures are followed by officers in the team, including risk assessments, safe work procedures and other instructions issued by Security Manager.
- Supervise in-house and security agency security officers on day-to-day security operations.
- Assist Security Manager to monitor the performance and development of in-house and agency security personnel, addressing any disciplinary issues.
- Ensure security personnel possess the necessary training, licenses and certifications required to perform their duties, and ensure applicable licenses and training are valid (e.g., PLRD license, SSIC, HSE Induction, Fire & Emergency Response related training & certification).
- Assist and guide security officers and supervisors as they perform duties such as access control and screening of visitors, contractors, employees, vendors, delivery drivers and vehicles to prevent unauthorized access into the yard.
- Prepare shift briefing notes and oversee the conduct of daily shift briefings to the security team.
- Conduct supervisory checks on documents processed by Security Officers (outward permits, gate passes, declaration forms, key books, lost & found, occurrence books, vehicle entry permits, visitors data systems, etc.) and monitor the Outward Permits file for items due to be returned to the yard.
- Assist Security Manager to prepare deployment rosters.
- Plan, coordinate and deploy security personnel for internal and external events.
- Supervise security officers responding to incidents and emergencies.
- Deploy security personnel during drills and exercises.
- Provide feedback to Security Manager on possible security threats and recommend mitigation measures.
- Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to address security issues, surface process vulnerabilities and improvements.
- Ensure the condition of security systems and equipment is working and escalate faults as needed.
- Represent the security department in internal and external meetings.
- Prepare and submit incident reports, drill and exercise reports, police reports, and related documentation.
- Any other duties and responsibilities assigned by the Security Manager.
Job Requirements
- Diploma in any field, GCE ‘O’/’N’ Level or equivalent.
- Possess valid PLRD License, minimum PLRD SO grade of Security Supervisor.
- Passed WSQ Recognize Terrorist Threats is required.
- Class 3 driving license and access to a personal vehicle is an advantage due to site travel.
- At least 5 years of relevant supervisory experience in security operations; experience in law enforcement or similar security roles is an advantage.
- Good with Microsoft Office suite.
- Good interview and report writing skills.
- Strong leadership, supervisory, decision-making and interpersonal skills.
- Able to maintain confidentiality and work independently.
- Able to perform supervisory checks and inspections on personnel performing static gate duty, document checks, cargo and material checks, and patrols in yard areas, buildings and onboard vessels.
