Position Overview
The Associate Infrastructure Security Engineer is an entry-level position focused on supporting the security of an organization's IT infrastructure.
This role involves assisting in the design, implementation, and maintenance of security measures, performing testing and troubleshooting, and ensuring compliance with security policies and regulations.
Role & Responsibilities
Maintain security operations
Assist with the implementation of agreed security system changes and maintenance routines
Assist with implementation of new security programs
Assist with implementation of audit log reviews
Support the development of reports and SOPs on IAM matters
Support the alignment of security systems with established service agreement standards
Support the implementation of new enterprise security architecture, technologies and enhancements
Support the implementation of automation enhancements on account management
Support the monitoring needs of automation addressing failures requiring manual intervention
Support the submission of tickets related to report automation failures
Support the submission of tickets related to the creation, modification and deletion of administrator accesses in the applications
Support the generation and extraction of reports related to account management
Support the management of the deliverables of vendors related to account management
Respond to queries
Support live response to internal and external audits on access right related areas and IAM related security issues
Support investigation of security breaches such as Segregation of Duties violations related to access & privileges
Support the resolution of security related and account management issues
Support the simulation of user problems to identify security system drawbacks
Recommend security system modifications to reduce user problems
Facilitate compliance
Assist with the implementation security policies, procedures and programs
Educate users on the security standards and practices
Identify improvement areas to existing security policies and procedures
Ensure that the Operational SLAs are met as per the guidelines
Think always from the security & audit perspective and take actions accordingly related to IAM
Deliver user training
Ensure thorough review of the artefacts provided by the administrators as evidence to audit
Identify fictitious accounts created in the absence of an approved request
Identify incorrect provisioning by the administrators against the approved request
Identify untimely revocations of terminated users account performed by the administrators
Optimize security system performance
Support piloting of new tools, technologies, and processes as well as installation of hardware and software
Support security system testing and ongoing optimization or changes such as scheduled upgrades and updates
Maintain documentation of all optimization activities
Suggest improvements to operational processes, procedure manuals, and documentation
Participate in process improvements and initiatives to enhance operational processes increasing user satisfaction on service delivery
Requirements
Diploma / Degree in Computer Systems or relevant field
Familiarity or knowledge with database
Good analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
Innovative, proactive, and capable of working independently while collaborating with teams
