The Assistant Technical Manager is responsible for assisting the Technical manager on technical support across the Company's construction tenders and projects.
Technical Support:
- Develop technical proposals to ensure that all design/technical issues are addressed within the tender requirements and budget
- Provide technical support and solutions to facilitate site conditions and situation
- Prepare technical reports and/or pre-planning documentation for tender pursuits Support the preparation of
- value engineering and alternative solutions taking into consideration cost, schedule, maintenance and life cycle cost implications
- Liaise with Contracts department on drawings, specifications and all other technical documents during tender
- Support Contracts department on technical matters such as materials and construction methodologies for their costing needs
- Liaise with Consultants and Specialists for technical input as Value Engineering works during tender
- Draft structure tender queries and review tender clarifications
- Advising Contracts department on changes in technical matters during tender
- Facilitate the handing-over of technical and construction planning proposals to the project team after award of project
- Liaise with the BIM and/or drafting team for improved illustration of technical proposals
Business/Product Development:
- Assist in preparation and presentation of technical papers at conferences and seminars
- Assist in qualifications of methodology into new and existing projects
- Conduct technical research and update management on new/updated methodologies and technologies
- Co-develop technical methodology and technology with Academics, Government Bodies, Specialists, Clients, Consultants and internal Subject Matter Experts
