Assistant Vice President, Trade Credit and Surety

We are seeking a talented individual to join our Trade Credit team at Marsh.

This role will be based in Singapore.

This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.

Overview

Position: Assistant Vice President, Trade Credit and Surety

Responsibilities

  • Proactively identify and develop new Trade Credit and Surety prospects / opportunities, independently, and with support from team heads, and assume an annual new business target associated with this.

  • Maintain active partnerships with insurers and clients, including executive level, to identify risks and opportunities, provide recommendations and decision support for business strategy and performance.

  • Execute new business initiatives, opportunities and provide timely status updates.

  • Manage insurance submission and placement; work independently or with internal specialists to deliver products and services to the target client in order to convert the prospect.

  • Independently manage newly acquired key Trade Credit and Surety accounts and be responsible for key deliverables and revenue.

  • Ensure operational excellence, reporting and compliance.

What you need to have

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Commerce, Economics, Finance or Banking preferred.

  • Strong credit insurance knowledge with 3-5 years of related work experience.

  • Possess broad technical knowledge across commodity finance, trade finance, etc.

  • Pro-active and able to work independently.

  • Good communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills.

  • Strong relationship-building skills.

  • A self-starter with a proactive and energetic approach.
