Your impact: We are seeking a skilled Associate Project Engineer to join our Data Centre team in Singapore.
The role will deliver mission‐critical Data Centre projects that meet Tier standards, client specifications, and sustainability goals.
Ensure seamless integration of design, procurement, construction, and commissioning phases while maintaining Jacobs’ commitment to quality, safety, and innovation.
Role Summary
The role will lead small‐scale Data Centre projects and support medium to large projects, ensuring technical excellence and commercial success.
This role demands expertise in multi‐disciplinary coordination, advanced design review tools, and strong stakeholder engagement to deliver high‐performance facilities.
Key Responsibilities
Project Management
Manage small consulting and capital projects independently; assist on larger projects under Senior PM or Project Director guidance.
Implement Jacobs QA procedures and client QA requirements.
Monitor and report project progress, risks, and issues.
Prepare cost estimates, drawing lists, and manage budgets.
Data Centre Engineering Focus
Design Coordination – Coordinate design reviews across civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, and ICT disciplines.
Support Design Manager for cross‐discipline integration and compliance with Tier III/IV standards.
Review designs using Navisworks or Revizto for clash detection and spatial validation.
Procurement & Equipment – Review long‐lead equipment specifications and prepare LLI packages for critical infrastructure (UPS, generators, chillers).
Track procurement schedules to mitigate delays.
Construction & Commissioning – Manage site RFIs and construction submittals.
Coordinate with construction and commissioning teams to ensure seamless delivery and system integration.
Oversee subcontractor and consultant performance for compliance and quality.
Manage permit processes and liaise with authorities for statutory approvals.
Global Collaboration
Leverage Global Integrated Delivery (GID) resources for design and documentation.
Key Performance Indicators
On‐time delivery of design packages and construction milestones.
Compliance with Tier standards and client specifications.
Achievement of billability and fiscal targets.
Contribution to safety, inclusion, and innovation initiatives.
Here’s what you’ll need
Bachelor’s Degree Engineering recognized by BCA or Singapore PEB.
Strong understanding of Data Centre design principles, redundancy, and fault‐tolerant systems.
Proficiency in Navisworks, Revizto, and BIM coordination.
Effective communication and stakeholder management.
Commercial acumen and risk management.
Leadership in multi‐disciplinary environments.
Ability to manage subcontractors and navigate regulatory frameworks.
