We are seeking a highly motivated and capable lawyer to join our Corporate & Commercial Practice as an Associate.
This role offers the opportunity to work closely with experienced partners and a dynamic team on a broad spectrum of corporate matters, with exposure to a wide range of clients – from startups and SMEs to multinational companies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Advising on and drafting corporate and commercial contracts, including shareholder agreements, investment agreements, joint venture arrangements, and sale and purchase agreements.
- Supporting corporate transactions such as mergers and acquisitions, corporate restructurings, and fundraising exercises.
- Advising clients on regulatory and compliance matters under Singapore law, including those involving the Companies Act, Employment Act, and other applicable legislation.
- Conducting legal due diligence and preparing reports for corporate transactions.
- Liaising with clients, regulators, and counterparties in the course of transactional and advisory work.
Requirements:
Singapore-qualified lawyer with 1 to 3 years of post-qualification experience in corporate and commercial work.
- Strong legal drafting and analytical skills.
- Meticulous, commercially minded, and able to manage matters independently with appropriate supervision.
- Excellent communication skills in English and Mandarin (written and oral).
- Able to manage multiple matters and priorities effectively, meet tight deadlines, and deliver high-quality work in a fast-paced environment.
- A good team player with a strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
Desirable (but not essential):
Exposure to work involving Variable Capital Companies (VCC), Singapore Family Offices, or Intellectual Property.
