Duties and Responsibilities
Sign-in for work and check immediately for work assignments.
Complete any assigned work duties.
Attend Pre-Function meetings.
Responsible for maintaining ongoing energy conversation and loss prevention program among service employees.
Contact each meeting planner prior to the start of his/her meeting or function and review requirements.
Check electrical hook-ups for proper working order and tape down all exposed cords for equipment in use.
Check room temperature and see if all lights are working and adjusted properly.
Be able to read a BEO and know how to complete a set-up based on the information contained therein.
Be familiar with the location of all function rooms and related areas as well as the various types of workable set-ups.
Correctly and efficiently set-up and breakdown of all audio visual equipment.
On an ongoing basis, keep the total function room area and storage areas clean and neat at all times and maintain areas with a high level of sanitation and cleanliness.
Be totally familiar and practice the safe handling care and storage of all audio visual equipment.
Perform periodic total cleaning of the area, as assigned by the Banquet Operations.
All equipment not in use should be returned to its proper storage area in clean condition before the end of each shift.
Greet and assist every guest, following the guidelines for “Aggressive Hospitality” and all other details of our policies and procedures.
Ensure that the department complies with Audio Visual and Event Operation Standard Procedures.
Reviews set-ups and requirements (BEO) with Banquet Operations Manager on a daily basis.
Communicates any additional set-up requirements with staff.
Ensure that all schedules of events takes place on time and according to plan (rooms and staff to be ready 30 minutes before function takes place).
Report all problem areas and either corrected or a proposed solution should be forwarded to the Banquet Operations Manager and commented in the Captain’s Report.
Bring to the attention of the Banquet Operations Manager all materials and equipment that requires re-ordering or replacement.
Check regularly banquet function area for necessary changes, electrical outlet light bulbs, telephone lines and correct them.
Complete the assign work and reset-up for the following day before sign out for the day.
Daily check all function room lights and replace fuse lights.
Attend daily briefing in banquet office.
