We're looking for a skilled Automotive Claims Assessor who can guide customers through the repair process with confidence and care.
In this role, you'll be the trusted advisor who helps customers understand their repair options, navigate insurance claims, and ensure their vehicles get back on the road smoothly and safely.
Key Responsibilities:
Customer Engagement
- Attend to walk-in customers and assist with accident reporting.
- Provide professional and appropriate repair recommendations to customers.
- Log gear reporting details accurately into the system.
Claims Classification
- Assess and classify accident repair types using the Barometer of Liability Chart (BOLA) guidelines.
Survey Coordination
- Schedule and coordinate vehicle inspections with appointed surveyors.
Insurance Negotiation
- Represent customers in discussions with insurers regarding coverage and repair costs.
- Finalize the repair cost with the surveyors.
Documentation & Communication
- Prepare and send Letter of Demand (LOD) to insurers.
- Administer all paperwork related to repairs, costing, claims, and invoicing for customers and insurers.
Job Requirements:
- Minimum NITEC in Automotive Technology or related discipline
- At least 3 years of experience in the Automotive Industry
- Strong technical knowledge of vehicle repair and repair estimates
- Basic troubleshooting skills to identify common vehicle faults and repair needs
- Must possess a valid Class 3 Driving License
- Good interpersonal and negotiation skills
