The successful candidate will support the department in delivering sustainable top‐quartile performance.
They will be the voice and go‐to person for the business and internal stakeholders, representing business needs.
They will interact with people at all levels across the firm, working closely with teams across 11 GIC locations and counterparties and service providers worldwide.
What will you do as a Business Manager?
Strategy, Process, Platform, Change Management
Understand the strategic agenda and priorities of the business.
Develop and implement business operating models, programs, processes, and tools to drive synergies and strategic outcomes; support business growth and enable greater scalability in investments support.
Partner across GIC functional teams to drive operational excellence, investment process digitalization, optimization, and documentation.
Act as catalyst to drive business requirements and work with GIC technology teams for native private markets platform development and dashboarding capabilities.
Collaborate across investment departments for best practice leveraging and to drive execution of cross‐departmental initiatives.
Support data consistency and accuracy in the systems.
Business and Risk Management
Oversee and coordinate process, governance, control review and audit activities, including remediations.
Drive policies review and operationalization including day‐to‐day control checks.
Address business needs while safeguarding investment groups’ and GIC’s interests.
Oversee and execute a range of ad hoc and recurring asset servicing and reporting activities and control checks through digitized workflows and integrated datasets.
Appraise of industry trend and changing regulatory landscape.
Strengthen internal processes and governance.
Coordinate listed transactions, order management, checks and reconciliations.
Ongoing oversight and management of budget, cost, and business administrations.
Support annual business planning and budgeting process.
Support ad hoc business needs and drive deliveries aligning with business agenda.
What makes you a successful candidate?
6+ years of relevant experience in deal and investment operations, business management, project and process management, and strategic planning.
Strong system thinking and analytics capabilities.
Excellent problem‐solving skills with an eye for details.
A versatile, proactive self‐starter.
Thrive on navigating ambiguity while managing multiple projects and competing priorities.
A good team player with strong stakeholder management and influencing skills.
Ability to communicate strategically yet operate at a tactical level when required.
Good degree in Business, Finance or related fields with minimum 7 years relevant working experience in the financial services industry.
Knowledge of the private markets business is favorable.
