Job Description
This position reports to the IT Manager, responsible for implementing and supporting the regional HQ office application systems.
Job Scope
Part of a new local application team at regional HQ office.
Deliver system solution and application, including Management Information System (MIS), Business Intelligence (BMI), and business process improvements
Assist to implement a MIS to utilize the collected data; Develop user-friendly interface for regional HQ to manage and analyst business data
Work with the BMI Team to develop the regional data management framework, design a business data structure, establish regional data definition and data quality standard, and ensure it is aligned to regional business strategy requirements
Assist the Business Data Steward of BMI Team, to document data definition, business rules for data stored in data warehouse, usage of data in relates to relevant reports
Liaise with the Business Information Consumers (report requestor), Producers, or Business Subject Expert to define the information requirements and data quality standards required for group financial or regulatory reporting requirements
Support the BMI Team to ensure that these agreed standard and definitions are implemented in the regional data warehouse
Participate in other regional initiatives and projects, manage the business requests, UAT, training.
Timely update to Regional IT Manager on project status and keep track of related aspects
Requirements
University Graduates, major in information system, engineering or related studies.
3-5 year experience preferable in the similar roles of project manager, process lead, IT business analytics or system analyst
Have experience in business process automation project.
Define business use cases and work flow with users.
Able to sustain and shine as independent contributor in small team
Have worked and implemented workflow automation, database application and data warehouse for business community.
Hands-on experience of developing system specifications, design logical and physical data model
An advocate of good data management practices.
Able to work with business leaders to implement effective data management framework that improve corporate data quality
Excellent written and verbal communications skills will be required for team interaction.
Skillful in leading meeting, discussion and work with business user community, gathering user requirements, organizing and documenting work specification
Have worked in technology.
Keen interests in acquiring new skills related to work with a Can Do attitude.
Desired Skills & Experience
3 year experience in similar roles, preferably for MNC with regional exposure; knows Japanese or other Asian language is an advantage
In-depth knowledge of Data Warehouse Life Cycle, OLAP and Business Intelligence; Adept to apply proper methods to manage various data sources/types, non-uniform data structures; Knowledge of Metadata, data dictionaries, data modeling
Hands-on experience of RDBMS, SQL, ETL tools, preferably from IBM, Oracle, Tableau, Cognos Framework Manager; knowledge about Splunk, Big Data, XML standard and web programming language are helpful though not essential
