Job Description
As a Business Analyst, you will:
· Conduct in-depth analysis of client requirements, market trends, and wealth management advisory best practices.
Your strong analytical skills will guide us in identifying areas that need improvement, and your innovative mindset will help us develop solutions that set us apart from our competitors.
· Design end-to-end solutions based on business requirements, ensuring that these solutions are both effective and efficient in meeting the defined objectives.
· Stay well-informed about the most recent trends, regulatory changes, and emerging technologies affecting the wealth management industry.
Your role will involve continuously monitoring client needs and identifying opportunities to enhance our products and services.
· Offer strategic recommendations based on your analysis of client needs, market trends, and industry insights.
As a trusted advisor to senior management, you will provide guidance on new initiatives, product enhancements, and business development opportunities.
· Organize meetings and workshops with users and subject matter experts to understand business requirements.
You will collaborate with these experts to create comprehensive business workflows for the Business Requirements Document (BRD) and Functional Specifications Document (FSD), ensuring alignment with IT roadmap and strategies.
· Prioritize business requirements with Product Owners considering project constraints on time and budget.
You will be expected to balance speed with thorough and meticulous analysis.
· Articulate business requirements to vendors, providing effort estimation and ensuring complete coverage of the business requirements relevant to vendor delivery.
· Work closely with the IT development team, Application Architects, and vendors to deliver prototypes (when needed), and evaluate these with business users to align expectations and solidify requirements.
· Coordinate cross-functional team members and activities for business work streams or entire change and technology implementation initiatives.
You'll ensure all business requirements are addressed within functional specifications and keep the Project Manager and/or functional stream leads updated on progress.
· Support Business Leads or user representatives in preparing training plans or materials, and user manuals.
· Assist Product Owner in reviewing UAT test artifacts like test plans, test scenarios, test cases, and data.
Your role will involve thorough assessment of the upstream and downstream impact of changes, and ensuring the quality of JIRA stories by identifying comprehensive exception scenarios.
Job Requirements
· Proven experience as a Business Analyst in the wealth management sector, with a deep understanding of investment products, portfolio management, financial planning, and client servicing.
· 8+ years of experience in investment products and business solution analysis, preferably in the financial services industry.
Experience with technology platforms is beneficial, but not a primary requirement.
· Experience in advisory platforms is preferred.
· Knowledge of portfolio performance, attribution, and valuation.
· Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, analyze, and interpret complex data from various sources.
· Solid knowledge of wealth management industry trends, including regulatory requirements, digital transformation, and evolving client expectations.
· Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to present complex concepts in a clear and concise manner.
· Strong problem-solving abilities, with a focus on identifying creative and innovative solutions.
· Experience working in an agile development environment and familiarity with agile methodologies.
· Proficiency in using business analysis tools, project management software.
· Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
