Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Business Development Manager (BDM) to lead our overseas business growth.
This role will be responsible for developing and managing international distributor networks, expanding our OEM coffee roasting customer base, and driving revenue growth across key international markets.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the coffee industry, proven experience in export sales/business development, and the ability to build long-term partnerships in diverse cultural and business environments.
Key Responsibilities:
Market Development & Distributor Management
- Develop and execute business expansion strategies across international markets.
- Manage and grow relationships with existing overseas distributors, ensuring sales performance and brand alignment.
- Identify and secure new distributor partnerships in priority markets.
- Provide product and brand training, market insights, and sales support to distributors.
OEM Customer Development
- Identify and acquire new OEM coffee roasting clients across global markets.
- Build tailored solutions for OEM customers, managing negotiations, contracts, and service agreements.
- Collaborate with operations and roasting teams to deliver customized products that meet client requirements.
Sales & Business Growth
- Achieve sales and revenue targets through strategic account management and new business acquisition.
- Conduct regular market analysis to identify growth opportunities, track competitor activities, and adapt strategies accordingly.
- Negotiate pricing, distribution, and contractual agreements to optimize profitability.
Cross-Functional Collaboration & Reporting
- Work closely with marketing, operations, and logistics to support business execution in overseas markets.
- Represent the company at international trade shows, exhibitions, and networking events.
- Prepare regular reports and forecasts on sales performance, market developments, and business activities.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 6–8 years of experience in international sales or business development, preferably in the coffee, F&B, or FMCG industries.
- Proven track record of managing distributors and developing OEM customers.
- Strong commercial acumen with the ability to negotiate and close deals in overseas markets.
- Excellent communication, cross-cultural relationship-building, and stakeholder management skills.
- Strategic thinker with hands-on execution ability.
- Willingness to travel frequently across assigned markets.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a proactive and entrepreneurial approach.
- Willingness to travel frequently within the assigned regions.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in the coffee, tea, or related consumables industry.
- Knowledge of OEM services and bulk pack sales.
