Role Overview
We are seeking a motivated and results-driven Business Development Manager to spearhead sales growth and market expansion across Singapore and Malaysia .
The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, managing key client relationships, and driving revenue growth by aligning customer needs with the company's cutting-edge solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute business development strategies to grow market presence across Singapore and Malaysia.
- Identify, pursue, and close new business opportunities across enterprise clients, industrial companies, and system integrators.
- Manage the complete sales cycle including prospecting, solution pitching, contract negotiation, and closure.
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with clients, distributors, and strategic partners.
- Collaborate with internal teams (marketing, product, engineering) to deliver client-focused solutions.
- Conduct market research and competitive analysis to capture emerging opportunities.
- Lead RFP/tender processes, proposals, and ensure commercial compliance.
- Represent the company at industry conferences, networking events, and exhibitions to strengthen visibility and generate leads.
- Provide accurate sales forecasting, pipeline updates, and performance reporting.
- Ensure client satisfaction through smooth post-sales engagement and support.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or related field; MBA preferred.
- Minimum 5+ years' experience in business development, enterprise sales, or account management within industrial, manufacturing, automation, or digital transformation domains.
- Strong understanding of the Singapore and Malaysian markets with an established professional network.
- Proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets in a consultative, solution-oriented sales environment.
- Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills with ability to influence C-suite decision makers.
- Experience managing cross-border sales operations and understanding of local business regulations.
- Proficiency in CRM tools for pipeline and client management.
- Willingness to travel extensively within Singapore and Malaysia.
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiaritywith IoT, automation, cloud-based solutions, and digital platforms in enterprise contexts.
- Experience in Business Development for IT consulting and SI in SEA.
- Demonstrated success in regional market expansion roles.
