We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Business Development Manager (BDM) to drive growth and expand our market presence.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, building strategic partnerships, and work with internal stakeholders: product team in solutioning, marketing in lead generation and sales team to achieve revenue goals.
This role requires strong interpersonal, analytical, and strategic thinking skills.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct market research to identify trends, competitor activity, and client needs.
- Prepare and deliver compelling presentations, proposals, and business cases to clients.
- Collaborate with internal teams (marketing, product, operations) to align business development strategies with company offerings based on market requirements
- Track, analyse, and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) and ROI from business development activities.
- Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and networking functions.
- Continuously improve knowledge of industry developments, products, and services.
- Work with internal stakeholders: marketing in lead generation and sales team to close more deals.
- Work with external stakeholders: build more channels to get leads and work with existing partners to grow Financial Institutions (FIs) sector
Requirements:
- Degree in Business Management or related disciplines with at least 5 years of relevant working experiences and minimum 2 years in the software industry
- Experience in business development related to adult education
- Good command of storytelling and presentation techniques (e.g. slides making, data visualisation)
- Ability to establish and maintain strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong research and analytical skills
- Ability to work independently and adaptable to changes.
- Problem solving and can-do attitude: willingness to learn quickly and understand the root cause of problems; able to work with a multidisciplinary team to propose creative solutions.
- Proficient in internet & MS Office Application especially Excel.
- Meticulous, self-driven, and able to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
