Role Description
This is a contract remote role for a Cantonese Interpreter.
The Cantonese Interpreter will be responsible for providing accurate and culturally sensitive interpretation services across various settings.
Day‐to‐day tasks include interpreting conversations via OPI (Over‐the‐Phone Interpretation) and VRI (Video Remote Interpretation), maintaining confidentiality, and ensuring clear, precise communication.
The interpreter will utilize LanguageBridge Solutions’ proprietary IMS and call system to manage their interpretation tasks efficiently.
Qualifications
Fluency in Cantonese and English
Strong interpretation skills in both over‐the‐phone and video remote settings
Excellent understanding of cultural nuances and sensitivity
Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information professionally
Proprietary IMS call system handling skills
Effective communication and active listening skills
Proven experience in interpretation for various industries
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to work independently and remotely
Relevant certifications or accreditations in interpretation are preferred
