Job Description
Job Scope – Turkish Chef
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook authentic Turkish cuisine, including kebabs, mezes, grilled meats, breads, and traditional desserts.
- Ensure consistency in taste, quality, and presentation of dishes according to restaurant standards.
- Plan and manage daily kitchen operations, including food preparation, portion control, and inventory.
- Maintain proper food hygiene, cleanliness, and compliance with Singapore Food Agency (SFA) standards.
- Monitor stock levels, place orders, and minimize wastage.
- Supervise and train junior kitchen staff to ensure smooth workflow.
- Create and suggest new Turkish dishes or seasonal menu items to attract customers.
- Work closely with management to ensure customer satisfaction and smooth service.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Turkish Chef or specialty cook, preferably in a restaurant setting.
- Strong knowledge of traditional Turkish recipes, spices, and cooking techniques.
- Ability to work independently and handle a fast-paced kitchen environment.
- Good teamwork and communication skills.
- Willing to work weekends and public holidays as part of the duty roster.
- Knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices in Singapore is an advantage.
