Cloud Engineer (L1/L2)



Job description

Overview
We are seeking a skilled and proactive
Cloud Engineer (L1/L2)
to provide operational support for Windows server environments hosted both on-premises and in AWS.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience managing Wintel infrastructure, performing patching and compliance tasks, and supporting cloud services such as EC2, IAM, and S3.

This is a technical operations role that requires strong troubleshooting skills, a solid understanding of Windows Server ecosystems, and familiarity with cloud platforms—particularly AWS.


Responsibilities
Provide
Level 2 support
for
Windows Server 2012/2016/2019/2022
in hybrid environments (on-prem and AWS).


Manage core infrastructure services:
Active Directory (AD), DNS, DHCP, GPO, WSUS , and
Windows clustering .


Troubleshoot system issues and resolve incidents and service requests via ITSM tools (e.g.,
ServiceNow ,
Jira ).


Execute monthly and quarterly
patch management
cycles using
WSUS ,
SCCM , and
AWS Systems Manager .


Remediate findings from
CIS hardening baselines , vulnerability scans, and compliance tools.


Collaborate with InfoSec and compliance teams to implement
Vulnerability Management System (VMS)
and
Cloudscape
recommendations.


Support AWS services:
EC2 ,
S3 ,
EBS ,
IAM ,
CloudWatch ,
Systems Manager (SSM) .


Review and implement
IAM policies
using
IAM Access Analyzer , ensuring least privilege access across environments.


Monitor AWS infrastructure for performance and availability using
CloudWatch
and respond to alerts.


Monitor and enforce security hardening and compliance across Windows and AWS platforms.


Qualifications
2-4 years of hands-on experience in a Windows Server administration or Cloud Operations role.


Solid experience with
Windows infrastructure services
(AD, DNS, DHCP, GPO, WSUS, etc.).


Exposure to
AWS environments
and associated services (EC2, IAM, S3, etc.).


Experience using
ITSM platforms
such as ServiceNow, Jira, or equivalent.


Working knowledge of patch management tools and methodologies.


Familiarity with
security hardening ,
IAM , and
compliance scanning .
