As a Security Engineer reporting to the Senior Engineering Manager, you'll play a key role in securing the AWS infrastructure of a dynamic and fast-growing financial services organisation.
You'll be instrumental in building a mature cloud security framework, managing security incidents escalated by an external SOC, and collaborating across teams to embed security into everyday operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead infrastructure security and monitoring for both cloud and on-premises environments.
- Secure AWS cloud workloads using native tools such as Security Hub, Inspector, GuardDuty, and Detective.
- Drive continuous cloud and endpoint vulnerability management efforts.
- Handle security incidents from detection to resolution, ensuring a rapid and effective response.
- Maintain strong endpoint protection across all user devices.
- Work cross-functionally to integrate security best practices into operational workflows.
About You
- Minimum 5 years' experience in a hands-on Security Engineering role.
- Deep understanding of AWS security tools and cloud security best practices.
- Open to candidates with strong GCP or Azure experience who are keen to pivot into AWS.
- Solid track record in incident response, vulnerability management, and runtime protection.
- Skilled in endpoint security (e.g., MDM, EDR) - experience with CrowdStrike or Intune is highly valued.
- Proficient in scripting, automation, and infrastructure-as-code, especially with Terraform and CloudFormation.
