What a College Intern - Electrical Hardware Engineering does at HP:
- Acquires practical experience working on Electronics/Electrical Design & Testing.
- Work closely with R&D team to develop practical test board in a true R&D environment based on required product requirement.
- Generating useful test scripts to support an automated test environment.
Individuals who do well in this role at HP, usually possess:
- Electrical or Electronics Engineering undergraduate or relevant education background.
- Able to commit to a 5 to 6-month full-time internship, starting in January 2026.
- Basic knowledge in CAD software for schematic capture.
- Basic programming know-how and hand-on experience.
- Strong analytical problem-solving skills.
- Able to work independently (self-driven) and within a team environment.
- Knowledge of electronic principles.
Interest in one or more of the following areas:
- Electronics Circuit & System Design, Troubleshooting and Validation.
- PCB design, Process Set-up and Fabrication of Test board.
- Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC).
- Test Automation development using scripting ( e.g Python/Visual Basic ).
- Practical experience in AI/ ChatGPT application development to support engineering problem analysis.
