Position Summary: We are looking for a Commercial subject matter expert to execute commercial strategies, manage key partnerships, and support the expansion of a new subscription business in Singapore.
This role will work closely with the Subscription Head, playing a pivotal part in shaping an innovative ownership model for our consumer electronic products, unlocking new revenue streams, and enhancing long-term customer engagement.
In this role, you will be responsible for executing growth plans, working across various internal teams and external partners to bring innovative offerings to market.
The ideal candidate has a strong background in business development, partner management, and commercial execution within consumer electronics, and/or e-commerce.
Role and Responsibilities
- Execute and optimize new subscription models and strategic sales plans to achieve business targets
- Work with marketing and tech teams to align business objectives, ensuring customer-centric improvements to offerings
- Conduct market research and competitor benchmarking to refine business models and maintain a competitive edge
- Identify, engage, and support negotiations with new and existing strategic partners—including service providers, financial institutions, and ecosystem enablers—to scale business initiatives
- Monitor and analyze key performance metrics (KPIs) such as adoption, retention, and profitability, providing insights for business optimization
- Engage with internal business units, finance, and external partners to align business objectives and commercial agreements
Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, or a related field
- 5–6 years of experience in commercial strategy, business development, account management, ideally in an eCommerce environment
- Strong negotiation and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence decision-makers and develop long-term relationships
- Excellent analytical skills with experience tracking program performance, interpreting data, and providing actionable insights
- Proficiency in data analysis tools such as Excel, Tableau, or Power BI
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with internal teams and external partners
- Highly detail-oriented, proactive, and adept at managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Highly collaborative team player who is passionate about the business unit’s success and works well across the department
- Possesses a high level of integrity and ethics
- Must be aligned to Samsung core values
- Extensive experience with Singapore Enterprise and Government Account Management will be a plus
