Job Description
The School of Continuing and Lifelong Education (SCALE) was established to drive the expansion of NUS’ lifelong learning offerings in a concerted and strategic way that furthers our mission to be a leading global university, as well as fulfil our role as a public university of Singapore, shaping the future.


Through SCALE, working adults (i.e. professionals, managers and executives) who aspire to stay relevant and ahead of competition, companies looking to up‐skill/re‐skill their workforce, and even youths exploring quality tertiary education options, have access to NUS’ suite of innovative, world‐class continuing and lifelong education offerings.


Drawing on unparalleled access to the multi‐disciplinary expertise of 15 other NUS Faculties/Schools, SCALE offers youth, executive and professional development/education programmes, part‐time degree programmes, as well as modular courses that may be taken singly or stacked towards certificates/diplomas/degrees that meet the lifelong learning needs of individuals.

All programmes are designed and developed in consultation with the industry to ensure relevance and currency.


About the Rol
To augment our manpower resources in the School, we are looking for suitably qualified candidates to join our Academic Programmes Office (APO).


Reporting to the Head (Strategic Engagement & Initiatives) and Head (Undergraduate Programmes), the incumbent assists in a wide range of administrative duties that need to be executed in an effective and efficient manner to support the smooth functioning of the unit.


This role is offered on 5 months fixed‐term contract basis.


Key Duties & Responsibilities:
Support application and admissions processing for the undergraduate, professional/continuing education programmes, and modular/stackable courses
Maintain and update a knowledge based/FAQs to ensure consistent guidance on admissions, enrolment, funding, schedules, and credential pathways
Provide end‐to‐end support for APO‐related events, including event logistics
Draft learner notices and Electronic Direct Mailers (EDMs)
Serve as frontline contact for prospective and current learners via emails, walk‐ins and phone
Undertake other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Requirements:
Minimum GCE ‘O’ Levels or equivalent
Strong interpersonal skills, good verbal and written communication abilities, and a positive work attitude
Demonstrated ability to provide good customer service
IT savvy with proficiency in MS Office applications
Strong organisational skills and ability to effectively manage multiple tasks and prioritise workload
A collaborative team player who thrives in a fast‐paced environment and is meticulous in their work
Able to commit to the entire duration of the required assignment
Any relevant work experience in customer service, administration, or a similar field would be advantageous
A copy of academic certificates and transcripts from GCE O‐level onwards should be uploaded via the online application portal.
