Responsibilities:
- Assist in tender and contract review to arrive at the tender sum, including compilation of subcontractor quotations for management review and approval.
- Provide strategic advice to project teams on contractual matters, including the identification, notification, and preparation of variations, extension of time, and loss & expense claims.
- Participate in the development and preparation of solicitation documents, contractual correspondence, and other related documentation.
- Review all project-related correspondence and propose appropriate strategies and responses, highlighting potential commercial or contractual implications.
- Administer contracts throughout the project lifecycle, including preparation and submission of progress claims, variations, and final accounts.
- Review and verify subcontractor and supplier claims, prepare payment certificates, and secure necessary approvals.
- Liaise with clients, consultants, and subcontractors to resolve contractual and commercial matters.
- Ensure signed contracts are properly communicated to and understood by project staff, providing contract interpretation and advice when required.
- Maintain proper documentation, records, and control of all contract correspondence in accordance with company procedures.
- Assist in ISO audit and implementation, and maintain the quality management system within the Contracts Department.
- Keep senior management informed of all contractual and site matters, ensuring timely updates on project and financial status.
- Undertake any other duties assigned by the management as deemed necessary.
Requirements:
- Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant working experience.
- Experience in construction, preferably in LTA or PUB projects.
