About the Role
We are seeking a highly analytical IT Business Analyst to support and enhance core trading platforms used across the commodities trading business.
The role focuses on Middle and Back Office processes, portfolio valuations, settlements, and market data management.
You will work closely with global teams to drive improvements, deliver system changes, and support day-to-day operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as subject matter expert (SME) for C/ETRM systems (e.g. Allegro, Endur, or similar).
- Support portfolio valuation, pricing, P&L, MTM and risk exposure analysis.
- Manage market data (indices, forward curves, correlations, volatilities, etc.) using tools such as ZEMA or MarketView.
- Partner with users to gather and document requirements for system changes.
- Conduct functional and regression testing, coordinate UAT and provide post-release support.
- Propose process improvements and support small changes and project delivery.
- Collaborate with global IT and business teams to resolve issues and ensure platform stability.
Requirements
- Degree in a numerate or related discipline.
- Minimum 5 years' experience as an IT Business Analyst or Middle/Back Office Analyst in a trading, banking, or commodity environment.
- Experience in Commodities Trading (LNG, Coal, Freight or Oil preferred).
- Hands-on experience with C/ETRM systems (e.g. Allegro, Endur, Aspect).
- Skilled in data analysis using SQL, Excel, PowerQuery or Power BI.
- Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently.
- Familiarity with Agile delivery, Confluence, JIRA, or Zephyr a plus.
