Overview
Creative Operations Assistant at The Smart Local (TSL) Media Group.
This internship role focuses on resource allocation, project timelines, team tasks, production logistics, and liaison with internal and external parties.
The role also involves organizing digital files, ensuring backups, and supporting campaign execution.
A minimum commitment of 24 weeks (6 months) is required.
Responsibilities
- Resource and capacity management: allocate resources to projects (client and organic) and assign tasks based on skills and availability; ensure timely delivery and that all team members are aware of their deliverables and deadlines.
- Production management: assist in planning production logistics for team members and projects; support in producing for campaigns and work with the team to execute and complete projects; act as a key liaison for external and internal parties including sourcing for vendors, scouting locations, and talent.
- File management and documentation: organize and maintain digital folders and files; ensure backups are run on schedule and monitor backup logs.
Qualifications
- Possess or currently studying for a Diploma/Degree in Communications/Media/Film Studies or equivalent.
- Strong passion for film, video, or media production and operations.
- Basic proficiency in office software (Microsoft Office and Google Workspace).
- Basic knowledge of production equipment and software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, cameras) is a plus.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills; a team player.
- Able to manage multiple activities and projects simultaneously under tight deadlines.
- Able to commit to a minimum of 24 weeks (6 months) internship.
