Responsibilities
• Attend to customer, agent enquiries & complaints
• Carrier negotiation & booking
• Prepare shipping documents for import/export
• Assist in bill of lading (BL), certificates of origin (COO), cargo insurance
• Co-ordinate & monitor shipment with carriers and clients
• Process custom clearance & permit if needed
• Cargo acceptance documentation
• Support in all aspect of sales and operational activities
• Assist in job closing and billing when required
• General admin duties and other ad-hoc duties as assigned by the supervisor
Requirement
• At least Nitec/Diploma in Logistics/Supply Chain Management/Shipping or equivalent;
• Good communication and interpersonal skills to develop strong working relationships (both internal and external);
• Good problem-solving skills and able to work under pressure;
• Well-organized, willing to learn, able to work in fast pace environment;
• Able to work independently or in a team-based environment;
• Proficient in MS Office applications, Portnet, Customs Permit;
• At least 1 year of relevant experience in the import/export freight forwarding industry.
Training is provided;
• Bilingual in English, Mandarin to liaise with mandarin speaking associates;
• Prior experience with freight/shipping customer service would be advantageous.
