Job Scope:
You will be responsible for providing shipping solutions to customers and business partners, helping them import or export goods to and from Singapore.
Job Descriptions:
Customer Engagement & Support
- Be the main contact point for customer inquiries, bookings, and shipment tracking.
- Build good relationships with clients by providing regular and clear updates.
Shipment Coordination
- Work closely with transporters, permit declaring agents, and carriers to ensure smooth shipment pickup, transit, and delivery.
- Monitor shipments and provide real-time status updates to customers.
Complaint Management
- Handle customer feedback and resolve issues professionally and promptly.
Documentation & Compliance
- Prepare and check shipping documents to ensure compliance with customs and regulatory requirements.
Billing & Invoicing
- Process and follow up on invoices accurately and on time.
- Coordinate with the finance team to resolve any billing issues.
Sales Support
- Assist sales team with rate quotations, follow-ups, and post-booking coordination.
Recordkeeping & Reporting
- Maintain accurate records of customers and shipments for operations and audits.
Process Improvements
- Suggest improvements to enhance customer experience and operational efficiency.
Job Requirements
- Minimum 'O' Level education.
- Preferably with some working experience in the logistics/freight forwarding industry.
- Positive working attitude and good communication skills.
- Able to handle customer disputes professionally and effectively.
- Knowledge of sea and air freight procedures is required.
- Basic understanding of dangerous goods handling and compliance.
- Knowledge of costing/pricing is an added advantage.
- A team player who can also work independently with minimal supervision.
- Able to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in both English and Mandarin will be an advantage (to communicate with Mandarin-speaking customers and partners).
- Able to start work on short notice is a plus.
